My favourite piece of technology

Hello everyone! I hope you are doing well :D

As you already know, we are surrounded by a lot of technological devices. Many of them have become part of our daily routine. In my case, when I was born there was already a computer in my house, so my contact with electronical devices began at a very early age. Today I would like to share with you wich one has been most important in my life.

It is: the radio. Even though I have always have access to computers, and they have been very useful for me, in fact, today they allow me to recibe and found a lot of information, radio is always on in my house, mainly because my mom is used to it. That makes it important.

[In this picture you can see radio on it's place in my house]

Radio has been in my house since I remember. It's main value for me is its function: to play music. When I was a little child my mom used to put CDs on the radio. Now, when I listen those CDs again I remember my childhood.
In fact, I'm so used to have the radio on in my house that it is strange when it is not. I can't concentrate when I study if there isn't some kind of music playing and if I spend too much time alone in silence, I start feeling lonely. In contrast when I can put the CDs I like in the radio, with worship songs, I start feeling happier.

If I ask myself how would it be if I didn't have a radio, I would answer that I have already been in that situation. In my father's house there is no radio and I can do my things normally. Radio makes me feel at home, but it isn't the most important. Speaking about sound, what really makes me feel at home are the voices of my family.

Thank you for reading my post. Maybe this question isn't related with the topic but, what about you? what makes you feel at home?

Good bye!

Two beautiful windows... (the eyes)

Your eye is like a lamp that provides light for your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is filled with light. But when your eye is unhealthy, your whole body is filled with darkness. And if the light you think you have is actually darkness, how deep that darkness is! Matthew 6:22-23New Living Translation (NLT) source Hello everyone! I hope you are doing well. The eyes are amazing to me because of the wonders they allow us to see, how beautiful they are themselves, the machinary they have and because they are a master piece of optics. They play the role of reciebing the light reflected or emitted by the objects and lead it to light-sensitive receptors that tranduce the light in electrical impulse that is processed and interpretated by our brain as images as we know them. They are located in the upper front half of our face, with the nose between them. In our skull they are ubicated in the orbit. Their size is about 24 mm of diameter and it's weigh...

Did you ever hear about Carver?

Hello everyone! I hope you are having an excellent weekend so you can rest and be prepared for this month's first week. In this opportunity, I'm going to tell you a little bit about an important scientist, botanist, chemist and inventor from USA. His name is George Washington Carver and his story is inspiring. [SHS 007806; Courtesy of the Tuskegee Institute,  Dictionary of American Portraits ] He was born in Diamond, a southwest Missourian town, just when slavery was abolished. His birth date is uncertain but it's around 1865. He was raised by his mother's owners: Moses and Susan Carver, after the kid and his mother where kidnapped and Moses could only recover George. Due to he was too young for working in farm activities he helped at household tasks. It was then that his love for plants started. Susan Carver taught him how to read and write, and when he was about eleven years old he left the Carver's cabin looking for a black school where he could study. ...

Postgraduate studies?

Hello everyone! I hope you are doing well. Today I am going to travel far in the future, as I did in my previous post. We are going to talk about a course that you would like to take when you finish your major degree. When I heard this I said "What?! Are you crazy? How am I going to talk about what I am going to do after I graduate if I'm not even close to gradute yet?" Anyway, I will try to look beyond that I have in front of my eyes and tell you what I would like to do. I'm just joking. I do use to look at the future but I question myself about if it is going to be as I imagine it. I'll tell you about that later. [SOURCE] Answering the question about what I would like to do when I finish my major degree I would say taking a Master in Biochemistry. I would consider taking this course in the future because it's objective is giving a high level background in Biochemical sciences and its aplications to professionals and university graduates. I ...
