Music in my life

Hello everyone! I hope you had a great long holiday weekend.

In this post I'm going to share with you about a topic that I have already mentioned in my last post: music in my life.

I have always liked music. I growth listening to Los Jaivas, NapalĂ©, Bee Gees, Queen, Peter Gabriel and others. I liked to hear how different voices and instruments sound so good together and try to identify which instruments were being played along each song.
When I was at 2th grade, I had some piano lessons, but I give up on them because I wasn't willing to change my playing time for practice time. Now I regret for that decision.
Later, I started learning to play the guitar at school and I liked it a lot but I didn't expected that I would receive a guitar in my birthday that summer. It was a beautiful gift and this time I was going to seize it.

But, I had to make a decision. I was going to play the guitar only as a hobby?

In the mean while I dicovered that one of the uses of music is worship and God likes people's worship. In fact, according to Psalms 22:3, the psalmists speaks to God saying: "Yet you are holy,    enthroned on the praises of Israel."He is saying that God is were He is praised. So I decided to play only worship songs with my guitar.

In consecuence, my likes about music also changed. The kinds of music I like now are: gospel, contemporary christian, contemporary worship and christian rock. Although I still like some classical music, pop, rock, disco music, salsa, cumbia and other kinds.

My favourite singer is Marcos Brunet and my favourite band is Hillsong United.

I have a cousin that also plays the guitar and makes some musical experiments and one of my sisters plays viola.

Music is very present on films. They wouldn't be the same withouth it. I saw one flm recently that I liked a lot: Sing!
It's a very good movie and has a lot of good songs. After watching that movie I was at least three days singing "Shake it off".

Although I don't have problems with singing that, I do when I can't stop singing songs of Silvio Rodriguez or Francisca Valenzuela. Silvio Rodriguez didn't bother me till I stood some days in my grandparents house and my grandmother put the same CD the whole day. In Francisca Valenzuela's case I used to like her, but now I can't stand her (I'm sorry for her fans but that is the truth).

What about you? There is any artist that you can't stand?

Good bye!

Postgraduate studies?

Hello everyone! I hope you are doing well. Today I am going to travel far in the future, as I did in my previous post. We are going to talk about a course that you would like to take when you finish your major degree. When I heard this I said "What?! Are you crazy? How am I going to talk about what I am going to do after I graduate if I'm not even close to gradute yet?" Anyway, I will try to look beyond that I have in front of my eyes and tell you what I would like to do. I'm just joking. I do use to look at the future but I question myself about if it is going to be as I imagine it. I'll tell you about that later. [SOURCE] Answering the question about what I would like to do when I finish my major degree I would say taking a Master in Biochemistry. I would consider taking this course in the future because it's objective is giving a high level background in Biochemical sciences and its aplications to professionals and university graduates. I ...

Two photographs I like

Hello everyone! I hope you are having an excelent test period, and if you are not, I hope you have the willingness and calm to lern about the things you fail, understanding that you are in a growth process. This time I'm going to share with you some photos that are special for me and I really like. At the end, I want you to make a meditation about what they represent for you. "Rayitos de Sol" This was the second photograph I took with my cellphone about two years ago. It shows some summer flowers in my father's house garden and three apiaries behind. I like this photo because the colors are really beautiful and well defined. You can clearly see each flower separately. Most of all, I like this photo because it reminds me home, my dad (he loves bees), summer and vacations. "Family beside the lighthouse" My dad took this picture of our family, maybe you can see him holding a remote control with his left hand. From left to right, my father, his w...

Our targets

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.  Galatians 6:9 New Living Translation (NLT) source Hello everyone! I hope you are doing well. Every time we start doing something it is important where we want to get with that. Tha gives us motivation and purpose. That helps us keep on efforting for our target when we are already tired or gives us a new impulse  when we remember it. Starting a carrer isn't exempt of that rule. In my case, I'm studying a major in Biochemistry because it is a carrer that could reach me out to understand better how living organisms work chemically. My drives are that I could work reaserching about living organisms that could revert enviormental problems, making science workshops at school and maybe classes. In the first situation I imagine it with a lot of work in contaminated and clean places, a lot of time in the laboratory and also looking for ...
